Tips on "just doing it"
Oct 23, 2017 - 5:19 PM - by Fraser_0762
Anybody got any useful anti-procrastination tips? It's always been a problem for me, but it's really weighing me down at the moment. I just end up overthinking all of the things I need to do and before I can even get started on any of it, the days over.

Writing lists is no good, because I can't even get motivated to do any sort of planning of any kind.

Who had a “rebellious phase”? Who never grew out of one?
Oct 23, 2017 - 5:14 PM - by MindBlind
I never had a “rebellious phase” growing up. I always admired the underdogs and the outliers but I was never really defiant as some rebels are known to be. To my shame I used to really kiss up to authority in my early years. I wanted to be a teachers pet and I relished being complimented on my obedience and good behaviour. Mum needs help
Oct 22, 2017 - 2:38 PM - by Wondamum
Hi All,

I’ve just signed up on here to hopefully get some support and advice.

Firstly I feel so confused.

Here’s my story...

My son is 13, and probably from the age of 5/6 he started to become overwhelmed with things, school situations, friendships. He struggled with right and wrong, always wanting wools to do the right thing and if they didn’t he would become frustrated, he also took/takes the slightest thing to heart,... [Read More]

Anger/Getting hung up
Oct 21, 2017 - 10:36 PM - by ADanne
I'm a young adult woman with ADHD who grew up with a cousin on the autism spectrum. He often got hung up on small frustrations/failures and would react with a festering build up and then sudden burst of anger (throwing something/yelling at someone). Strangely, I sometimes do the same thing, and while I can control it better than he can, it kind of scares me that I feel that way at all. I can get irrationally angry and hung up on something and still feel that way no matter how many times I tell... [Read More]

Emotional Neglect or ADD
Oct 21, 2017 - 3:30 PM - by Excutivedreamer
So, I've been doing research on emotional neglect and it seems that people that come from dysfunctional background have similar symptoms with people who have ADD or ADHD.

I was emotionally neglected as kid, same with the rest of my siblings; Our never really abused each other, they just never loved each other. They were just roommates who were married and had 12 kids with each other. There was food, shelter, and clothes for all us, just no love and communication.

I am... [Read More]
