I don't know, but people always seem to be a lot more sympathetic to me when I say that I have Asperger's, rather than when I say I have ADD. Even though ADD is far more debilitating, and I've realized that my Asperger's really doesn't need to be an "excuse" for anything, so I don't even tell others I have it anymore.

I think they treat them about the same. Some people think they're made up and just diagnosed to excuse bad behaviour. Or they make an equal amount of jokes about them.
I guess there are some people that see AS as more of a disorder than ADHD.

My ADHD and autism right now are fighting each other. One wants to focus on something and continue the usual routine while the other one thinks we should have a rest and just go with my hyperactivity, wherever it may take me.

People find Aspergers more acceptable because the symptoms cannot easily be explained away as character flaws than ADHD can be.
