Not sure if I have the right forum. A story in The Wall Street Journal alleges that Novak Djokovic's new found dominance in tennis is at least partially due to his adoption of a gluten free diet which helps with mental energy and focus.

I've found gluten to be somewhat associated with brain fog and irritability. I've also found very low carb diets, aka ketogenic diets, to be very good for calm and focus. I am not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if Djokovic or other's gluten-free eating meant less carbs.

Anyone else care to share thoughts on gluten and/or carbohydrates and their impact on mental energy?
