I belive that this is the same Family that was on the Montel Show last month.

The DR who prescribed the meds didn't know what he was doing. The medication isn't even supposed to be prescribed to children to begin with. Then he kept upping the dose and giving more than an adult should even take.

Too sad....Desipramine (Norpramin) is a tricyclic antidepressant......with many possible side effects.....and drugstore.com states that there are MANY drugs with which this one may not be taken. Med available in dosages from 10 to 150 mg. There was no mention in the article of any law suits....it seems to me that increasing the dosage to such a large one in just seven months should have been a huge red flag....

That DR should be shot. This is the exact reason people need to try and see DR's who are experienced with and understand what ADD/ ADHD is.

Agree wholeheartedly with Tara and Mechelle. Hopefully that doctor is not still practicing today....and certainly not being allowed to be treating any more children.
