It is a new health center called Westside Family Health and right now it is just that - docs for family health -not Mental health--but they say that will be coming soon.
Turns out that the mental health clinics here do not deal with adhd because it is treated with "controlled substances". Anyway that is what one person told me over the phone.
Westside is a $20 copay for a doctor visit,, and my son went out of there with medication. Dont know what the pricing of that was yet.
Any way - a really good resource.
The doc put him on Adderal which he had been on in the past. The shrink had him on 20 mgs 2 times a day and it made him horrible to live with.
He is now on half that dose and we will see how that goes.
BTW.what is the conscensus on adderal affecting heart function? Is it true that Canada has stopped prescribing it for adhd?
thanks for all the input- it was very much appreciated.

The adderall scare was over years ago and only lasted a short while.
