Get a scanner and put them in the computer. That's what I do.. well did.. before the scanner broke. I should really replace that thing some day.

I have 2 cubbies and a filing cabinet. One cubbie is for stuff that needs to be taken care of today, and It has to be empty. First things first go in there. If it can wait, I put it on the second cubby and file it at the end of the month or use it before the end of the month.

How much we talking about, here, Sarah? Are we talking one banker's box if it was all stacked up? Or boxes and boxes?

How old are the bills, if you are comfortable saying?

I'd say that if you've got much more than a banker's box, you need help, as in an assistant. You can hire temporary secretarial or organizer help, and it may be well worth it as a sort of one-shot deal, because once you have it under control it's not nearly as hard to maintain as it will be to get it under control in the first place.

I have a legal assistant/paralegal again for the first time in years. OMG is she a godsend!
