When I feel scattered and anxious, the feeling is often accompanied by a concrete physical sensations. More specifically, I feel like there's a lot of heat and pain in the back of my skull, extending down through the top of my spine. It often feels like there's something mis-firing, going off in all different directions, and every environmental stimulus aggravates the sensation.

When I am on meds, though, it's like all of those wires are flowing properly, and are flowing vertically instead of in a chaotic pattern. The heat is there, but it's not painful. Sensory stimuli get my full attention for a moment, then are disregarded; there isn't pain or aggravation from it.

Does this sound like something you've experienced? What physical sensations do you experience with ADD?

When I get too anxious or stressed, the top of my brain feels like it's sizzling just like live electricity for a few hours or the whole day.
No pain or aches.
It gets annoying.
