I call this a tea, but it's not really a tea at all I guess. It's not a soup either. What it is is the #1 last-resort cold-blasting weapon in my artillery. Um... Was that too much?

2/3 cup peeled and roughly chopped ginger root
1/3 cup part peeled and roughly chopped garlic
cayenne powder / chili flakes /chili powder, or whatever hot stuff you have around- to taste (don't be a wuss here, kay?)

Boil about two mugs full of water. Add ginger, garlic, and hot stuff. Let boil 1-2 mins. Remove from heat, steep for 5-8 mins. Strain into a mug.

Get ready to melt your face off.

Note: I can't guarantee that you will find the taste pleasant, especially if you don't like either garlic or ginger or both. Also, my measurements may suck. My head feels like it's about to birth something out of Aliens, and I have a fever of 102, so cut me some slack.

WARNING: Keep a box of Kleenex handy.
