"Once there was a 12 year old who was terribly embarassed at getting 2 out of 50 in a 7th grade maths test, nearly 20 years later she was asked 5 similar basic maths and she got them ALL correct despite answering them as estimates, you may not see this is a big deal but someone with a learning disability does and that someone is ME!"

Yes!! I passed a simple numeracy test WITHOUT any assistance for the first time in almost 32 years....the door opens a little wider now and yes I wrote the little blurb above, it's actually my Facebook status :)

Congrats, Crazygirl!

That's awesome news.

You have persistence out the wazoo! (<--does that expression exist in Aussie English? = overflowing with...) ;)

I called up my mother to tell her that I have finally passed a numeracy test WITHOUT assistance for the first time in my life today and she was proud! I jokingly told her that I still won't applying for the job of Treasurer of Australia position and she replied "Thank God for that, I want my disability pension to come on time Selena" LOL :p

(Yes this is another one of my FB statuses!)

Namazu...We don't really use the word "Wazoo" here in Oz that much...I don't think.

(As long as it doesn't mean anything horribly offensive, it's all good...)

I've never heard of that particular word being offensive... well not to me anyway

Here is a link for it's meaning and I don't think it is specifically an Australian slang word judging by this.
