Hi,

I am a 32 Yr old Singaporean Male that was just diagnosed with ADD. As such I can appreciate how difficult it is here in Singapore to find resources to have yourself diagnosed and also taught the skills to cope with ADD.

The main difficulty you may find is that ADD here has only just been recongnised 6 years ago (2006) by the public school system where special allowances were made for kids with ADD/ADHD. So you may find in your search that most resources in Singapore are for Kids.

But there is increasing awareness here that it is not just a kids thing and there are places you can go to.

My Psychologist details are as follows
Kain Goh
Center for Psychology

The psychiatrist that I was referred to after the diagnosis details as follows.

Dr. Clarice Hong
Raffles Hospital Counseling center
24 Hr hotline: +65 6311 1222
Tel No: +65 6311 2330

They are private specialist so they are expensive. I have not tried the Govt resources because the next appointment was weeks away while I was able to see them within days.

For me these 2 ladies have been a god send. I am in my 3rd week of being on medication. With the combination of the skills I have learned and the meds, for the 1st time in my life I am genuinely happy.

I hope that they will be able to help you in the same way.

Good luck

Hi Doughboy,

Is it convenient for you to divulge the cost of each session with Dr Clarice Hong?

My husband is American Chinese (I'm Singaporean), and we are in the midst of looking for a suitable psychiatrist for him to work with as we are planning to relocate to Singapore.

Thank you so much for sharing the information of your doctor with us! :)
