View Full Version : Gratitude list
misclee 05-30-03, 09:01 AM Well, I just wanted to say that I am very grateful to be here with you all. It is SO amazing to me to be around other people who are speeding through life like I have always done. I've always been chided by my family for talking too fast, driving too fast, eating too fast, even dialing the phone too fast....you name it, I do it too fast.
Anyway, I've felt so alone for so many years, and it's really nice to be around you guys. I think we are special...gifted. We are energy. Like light, we can either be unfocused, and light up a little of everything, or we can be like a laser and hone in on only one things, or we can burn out if we're not careful.
So, to all you other bulbs, I say hello, thank you, and you are not alone.
:)
So, with that, I thought it would be nice for all of us to hear from each other, and from ourselves, what we are grateful for today and everyday. I think it would be nice if everyone made at least one post on this thread per day, just so we can remain forever grateful:)

joanrdtobe 05-30-03, 02:53 PM oh and here's a gratitude quote: "As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them" John F. Kennedy

misclee 05-31-03, 05:32 PM Happy birthday!!
Today, I'm greatful for my daughter, my health, and the fact that I have a little time before I have to choose where I will move!
joanrdtobe 05-31-03, 05:34 PM Are you moving far?? another home in San Fran??
I am grateful for life itself as it certanly beats the altenative ( I think )
I couldn't agree with your first post more misclee as I like you have been chided all my life by so many people just for being ME.
I eat to fast I talk to fast I do this I do that all not the way liniar thinkers do it so therefore it must be wrong the way I do it.
The world has tried to cram me into the box as I call and it has done nothing but make me retaliate as I dont want to be put in the box.
I would love to spend a solid month with anther ADDer to explore the world on our terms.
Once I found this place , this refuge, this safe house called ADDforums and have had the privlage and pleasure of getting to know people here it has become my home (within my home ) (short of checking my email id be willing to bet that I havenet been to anymore than 10 other websites in the last month.
I leave my computer on ADDfourms and that is also my start up page or Homepage.
I come home from work say hello to wife and daughter , kick the dog to let him know I still dont like him jump on the puter and see who else is online or home persay.
Bottom line I guess is Im grateful for the effort that David, Big, and LivingwithADD go to to make this fourm Great.
misclee 05-31-03, 10:40 PM No, I'm staying in the city, just trying to find a decent place...which is much harder than one might think!
We're glad you're here to Garry:)
I am grateful for my life as it is now.
Grateful that even with my add racked brain that there are still enough smarts in it to pull my a** up by my boot straps and get on with life.
Geateful for my dog, she is my best firend and love sme no matter what i do.
