"All that has been integrated into Nonviolent Communication has been known for centuries about consciousness, language, communication skills, and use of power that enable us to maintain a perspective of empathy for ourselves and others, even under trying conditions."

Dr. Marshall Rosenberg’s writings have had a dramatic influence on my thinking and on my life. My quality of life and relationship with my sweetie is absolutely better since having integrated NVC into my engagement style.

I cannot recommend it enough.

cheers,

Thank you, Ian! I'm trying to incorporate it into my home life more and have noticed a decrease in my stress levels. I'm more approachable and mindful of my words and tone. Makes a huge difference.

I continue to see improvement in my ability to recognize triggers. I sometimes don't recognize that it was a trigger until well after I've responded emotionally, but hey, at least I recognized it and can try to respond differently next time. :)

We're looking at putting together a teach-in of some sort based on his writings and open it up to the community. Hoping to be able to generate a lot of interest.

I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with it's effectiveness. :)

Sounds good.

Right speech is the first principle of ethical conduct in the eightfold path.

Interesting connection between Nonviolent communication, Right speech and 'Suspending judgement'.

2. Each individual agrees to suspend judgement in the conversation.

Interesting connection between Nonviolent communication, Right speech, 'Suspending judgement' and seeing through the (subjective) nature of opinion.

I know that I know nothing.

... ... and so it continues.
