My husband most likely has ADD, but he has not been professionally evaluated. He doesn't really want to do counselling, but he is interested in medication. For that, I assume he'd need to meet with a psychiatrist?

He might do counseling later... we are discussing it.

Anyway, where in Utah is a good place to go for an evaluation? Looking at the doc references here, I see LCSW, but they cannot prescribe meds, can they?

No they can't but it's possible they could diagnose you then your regular doctor could prescribe meds based on that. You will want to ask if they have any experience with adult ADD.

We have gone to marriage counselling and the marriage counsellor is the one that spotted his ADD, but I'm not sure he's completely qualified for a full-out diagnosis.

Thanks for your help... what I'll probably do then is contact one of those on the reference list. There's even one that takes our insurance. :)
