View Full Version : Questions to ask profesionals who treat adult ADD Tara 06-05-03, 09:58 PM I thought I would start this thread specfically for questions to ask proffesionals who we go to to help us ADDults with our AD/HD. Tara 06-05-03, 10:01 PM Here are some I have thought of: What are the most recent books that you have read about AD/HD? Who do you consider top professionals in the AD/HD? Do you belong to ADDA and/or CHADD? How long have you been treating Adults with AD/HD? (Add an others that you can come up with) joanrdtobe 06-05-03, 10:18 PM What do you know to be the common symptoms of ADD? the uncommon symptoms of ADD? What medications are you familiar with that are known to be used to treat ADD and dosages? What is your philosophy with combining ADD medications with other psychotropic drugs such as antidepressants? (or taking a patient off an antidepressant when they start an ADD med?) Why would you use one ADD medication as opposed to another one? Are you familiar with how ADD medications react to other non-ADD medications? What do you tell women on birth control pills who may be considering ADD medications? or women who may be thinking of becoming pregnant who are considering starting ADD medications? or women who may be on ADD meds who may be considering breastfeeding? joanrdtobe 06-05-03, 10:25 PM Oh Tara, by the way, I wanted to say, excellent idea for a thread, as some of us go there, tongue-tied, not knowing what to say...so all we have to do is print out this and bring it with us.....:) |
