When I let my dog out for a pee if I dont keep contant vigual on him he will wander across the lawn
to the neighbors
down the street
around the town
untill he feels its time to return
I think he Has Doggy ADD
He keeps getting distracted and forgets what his main purpose for being outside is
So thats got to be it eh

OK, this is a funny subject :D
I have 4 cats and they don't seem to be ADD but they have learned to live with an ADD person....lol...
My cats never bother to ask me for food, they know I wouldn't pick up their hints......
They gently lead me to the food bowl and make me look down and see their dish is empty ......
I'm sure there are other things they do to get my attention but I haven't noticed ....lol....

Im sorry that Im going to have to disagree with you on this Paula.
I have learned from experence that it is very simple.
Cats allow us stupid humans to live with them in there house.
The terms of the agreement are that they will give us a little affection (only if there so inclined ) in return for us paying the mortgage , keeping them warm and fed, cleaning up after them, and making sure that they have ample furniture so they can get plenty of beauty rest.
Once you learn your place in life with regards to the owners of your humble household (the cats) your life will run much smother and they will then consider giving you a little more respect.
Grin I love cats as they are so independant

We've often said our dog is autistic, and has a dissociative personality disorder to boot.
I think one of my rats has ADD, I've never met a rat before who gets distracted while eating!;)

i don't think indigo has add,
but she's very cunning,
INDEED,
i've never had a feline persistently try to wake me every morning,
just to feed her. . . and then after crawling back into peaceful slumber, she walks on my poor aching body in attempt to revive me a second time. . . just to watch her eat.
no, indigo doesn't have add.
she's too self centered.
and i wouldn't have it any other way!

My dog is a mini Schnauzer cross. A dog training expert says if Schnauzers were people, they would have severe ADD. I believe it. She'll play with one toy, flip it in the air, while she's looking for where it landed she sees another toy and starts playing with it. While she's running around with toy #2, she'll walk over a third toy, drop toy #2 and pick up toy #3. If we toss another toy at her, she'll drop the one she has and play with the new one.
And then there's the cat. The dog thinks the cat is her personal interactive toy. The cat goads the dog to chase her, and comes back if the dog stops. Never a dull moment with pets!

One of the cats I had as a kid used to chase it's own tail when it was bored, the light reflections from watches and the red laser things are fun with hyperactive cats.
