Hey all, Happy Halloween! Did anyone else have a costume at any time, for any reason? Athens OH has the biggest halloween party in the US, and the third biggest social gathering in the US, on Halloween night (tonight.) So basically everyone here has a costume.
I have a nice cheap one: I am Dr. Ben Dover, Proctologist. I just wore my Sunday docker and a white shirt and tie, a lab coat, some latex gloves, a filter-mask, and a nametag that says "Dr. Ben Dover, Proctologist." I also have a bunch of pens in my pocket, and a notepad...and I'm carrying a little folder thing that looks like a chart.
Did any of you have any costumes? If so, describe them or post pictures!

Lexi is going as Gueneveve from King Auther's court, Koda is going as some kind of axe murderer and Garrett the baby is so cute, he's going as an elephant we taught him to shake his trunk and make elephant sounds now he won't shut up. Doug and I are going as trailer trash we're going to get dirty in old torn clothes, not brush my hair and we have some really disgusting teeth.
My attempt of Alice Cooper :D

Last year, there was masked ball at my alma mater's museum where I was a TA. It was the last event of the 2nd Annual International Masking Symposium. Theater, anthropology, artists, and many other scholars from all over the world attended! Nearly everyone came in costume and masked!
Italian Renaissance gown-my masked was a veiled headpiece with dark lavender damask cirlclet with pearls and gold ribbon. The gown was dark lavender damask too! the sleeves and underskirt were made from old muslin curtains with crocheted lace on them (ala Carol Burnett! :)). Gown was embellished with gold brocade ribbon and pearls! The sleeves had matching damask and ribbon over-sleeves.The only part of me not well covered was my upper torso. This was the first time I ever exposed my 38 DD girls to that extent! (Ever After with Drew Barrymore type of gown!)
The evening was a riot! I watched all the guys practically break their necks turning around to look! Old guys were hitting each others arms and pointing, drunk guys were quite forward. I just kept observing the behavior of the species and laughed the entire evening. The straight guys never talked to my face! The big kicker? I was 51 years old then! It sure made me feel young to know I could still turn heads! But man, guys sure have one-track minds! :D And no, I will not post a picture on here! Even ADD guys can stay focused on a woman's upper torso when dressed in period costume!
I will never ever forget that experience! Still laughing........ guys can be such ah, boobs? ;)

I think it might become a scene in my novel-at least for now! Way, way too funny. The old men looked like the guys on the Muppet show! Will never forget!
We had a halloween party and their were loads of little kids so me and my friend came as rosie and jim :)
Not very scary though lol
