View Full Version : my current mood:brain dead
f_wcomboadhd 11-03-04, 04:32 PM i feel brain dead today
i don't know why its so bad today
i'm taking meds but i just feel like my head is floating away
i can't do any work
i'm just clicking away on my computer from link to link
and unfortunately for all you people one of my browsers
is open w/ this forum on it and i just post all day!!
since i sit at my desk all day this is my only way of kind of getting
conversations...
i don't know what is wrong with me :o
its not major i guess
except i have my meeting w/ the disability dept. tonight
and i guess i'm now subconciously super anxious about it..
thanks for letting me put this somewhere.
gingagirl 11-03-04, 07:17 PM I know that brain dead feeling. I usually relate it to either not getting much sleep the night before, or eating a crapload of junk food or sweets. I think stress/anxiety could do it too. And sometimes I can't figure out a reason.
Hope your meeting goes well tonight.
GirlDriver 11-03-04, 10:00 PM f_w Combo,
Hope your disabilities meeting went well. I think, from a million presumptive miles away in cyberspace, that this school/disabilities situation is weighing heavily on you. Could this be? For what it is worth, you would be shocked at how many other students are receiving accommodations, really. It is obvious that you are a sharp woman with a strong personality & do not consider yourself in need of special dispensation to succeed academically. And you will not be provided advantages, just an opportunity for somewhat fair standing compared to nonADD people. Please let us know how this goes. Best to You, GD
Avistar_sg 11-07-04, 08:14 AM Consider yourself lucky because u do not have to seat for any major exams like I do. If that isnt unlucky enough for me, tomorrow is my A LEVELS CHEMISTRY EXAM: PAPER 3 ( a major exam, oh paper 3 constitutes 60% of the total marks) and despite being given a whole week of free time to study at home, I ended up surfing online encyclopedias instead. Well, good luck for me tomorrow ... I left 50% of my Chemistry chapters UNTOUCHED. That is to say, Im gotta seat for my exam COLD ...
And that too explains why Im down in my mood ... well not just today but for the whole of last week ...... and yes, I feel brain-dead these days (sure u can see it from the way i typed this post ..) thanks to my exams ......
Avistar_sg 11-08-04, 12:59 AM ^_^ Thank lord the exam's finally over and it was much easier than I had anticipated! Cheers (Darn! There's another exam tomorrow!) Despite this, I'm still feeling brain-dead as I had used up too much memory prowess on my bus trip home (In order to defeat boredom, I devoted my whole 30 minutes on the trip to mentally calculate 466^4 and 5612^4, mentally construct a humble adobe of my very own design, and finally formulated mathematical formulaes to define how a sharply dissected plane will look like when projected using a 3D engine onto a 2D perspective). Post hoc, I felt narcoleptic after having successfully finished off my mental tasks; I felt the pseudaxical causalgia and neuralgia sweeping over my cerebral convolutions as if some autoplectic influx of cerebral hamorrhaging became ubiquitous within my mental mundane! Hypermnesia spawns Amnesia ... lol I hate thinking >_< ...
f_wcomboadhd 11-12-04, 09:48 AM pseudouranological<<<<
i looked up this word on GOOGLE
and the ONLY place that i found it was HERE. LITERALLY. THE SEARCH GIVES ME YOUR POSTS.
so i assume this is a word you've made up. unless you meant pseudoneurological...
"I felt the pseudaxical < are you talking about pseudaxinella? a sea sponge? b/c i couldn't find this word anywhere else either causalgia and neuralgia sweeping over my cerebral convolutions as if some autoplectic influx of cerebral hamorrhaging became ubiquitous within my mental mundane! " <<<one of the worst sentences i've ever read. akward. ungraceful. would you stop it?
i'm not TRYING to be a jerk..but you have no grace with language. you hack it. i only say this b/c you ask for it by writing this way. truly pedantic.
Avistar_sg 11-12-04, 11:52 AM f_wcomboadhd:
I didn't learn the word Pseudouranological from reading, I learnt it from a teacher long ago, whom I assumed gave a semantically correct word. Anyway, I'm sure its perfectly alright and justifiable to place the prefix "pseudo" in front of a word, in the same way that words which were not in the dictionary such as pseudo-science were synthesized. By the way, Pseudoxical was spelt wrongly, thanks for the kind reminder, it should be pseudodoxical, which means false. For your information, causalgia and neuralgia are medical terms commonly used to describe the 5 types of pain - causalgia, vascular pain, neuralgia, cancer pain and chronic pain (It is just another way to classifying pain by professionals). There are no mistakes in the spelling of these words.
By the way, mind your manners: Are you aware that it is impious irreverent of you to indirectly thrash a person's self-confidence by those contemptuous remarks of yours? I find that it is impolite of you to post remarks that are deleterious to another person's belief system. The most you can do for this is to simply mail a private message to me, where we can settle the enmity of our ideological differences by ourselves, without drawing unneeded attention from the public. Cease your Ad Hominen critique at once please.
P.S: Can a moderator or administrator delete this post and the post ut supra from f_wcomboadhd, which I'm afraid, is subjectively considered an insult in my own opinion.
Apologies for the inconvenience caused.
Avistar_sg 11-12-04, 12:17 PM I hope this rancor has come to an end.
I have issued f_wcomboadhd a private message regarding my sensitivity towards this insult: "but you have no grace with language. you hack it.", to resolve the problem. Case closed. May a moderator or administrator please remove the above 2 posts, plus this one too. Thank you.
By the way: you can't say "but you have no grace with language. you hack it." based on only a few examples of the misuse of language by an individual.
f_wcomboadhd 11-12-04, 03:55 PM fyi public: i've already dispensed my apology to avitar via pm.
thanks
Avistar_sg 11-13-04, 12:13 AM Problem settled via pm.
