View Full Version : Slow Cooker - Onion Soup Chicken

This is one of my favorite meals. :) It is easy to make and tastes delicious, at least to me anyway. :p I can't remember where I found the recipe from though so I made up the title.

4 skinless boneless chicken breasts (approx. 1 1/2 - 2 lbs, can also you chicken strips)
1 package of onion soup mix
1 can of cream of chicken soup (can use the reduced fat and sodium soup without loss of flavor)
1 16oz. container of sour cream (can use light sour cream without loss of flavor, wouldn't recommend fat free though)

Mix all ingredients except the chicken in a slow cooker. Once mixed, add the chicken and make sure that all of the chicken has been covered in the sauce. Stir occasionally. Cook on medium high (setting 4 out of 5 for me) for 8 hours. Serve over rice.

The sauce that this makes makes plain rice taste great. I usually try to serve a vegetable of some sort with it though since there aren't any in this recipe. You can also cook it a bit less or more. The more you cook it, the more the chicken will just fall apart.
