I took Ritalin LA for a few weeks and I really hated the mood swings it gave me, particularly when the dosages of the Ritalin dropped.

I also felt that it had a "dulling" effect on my personality - would taking Concerta be any different, considering they are both mephylphenidate?

I have taken both and I find the Concerta to be a bit smoother. I don't really notice the meds wearing off with the Concerta.

How much Ritalin LA were you taking? If it was dulling your personality maybe it had something to do with the dosage.

I was taking Ritalin LA at 20mg. That translates to 2 10mg Ritalins, IIRC - I suppose Concerta at 18mg would be best for me?
