Thank you Tara for posting. Dr. Lopresti happens to be MY therapist. He is really very helpful. I have not attended his support group yet, since I am new in this area. However, I hope to soon. From what I understand, he has run this group for many years.

I was psyched to find this. Dr. Lopresti was actually one of the doctors that diagnosed me. I'm interested in attending one of these groups. Has anyone been to the meeting that can share what it is like. Also I saw somewhere that it was for ADD Adults and their significant others. Is it for relationship support mostly or ADHD support. I'm not in a relationship and don't plan on starting one anytime soon so really don't need to learn how to cope with a partner. I need help coping with me. :)

Anyway I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks Cara

Cara, I have info on Dr Lopresti's support group. As I stated in my previous post, I have not attended a meeting yet, I hope to get to the next one which will be held onThursday, December 16. If you are interested, I could pass along his website. He will usually give the theme/subject for the next meeting. You may PM if you want. Good luck and welcome to the forums.

Can someone please tell me is there are any support groups in NJ . Have a friend with add and her Dr. keeps giving her prescriptions but I don't think they are helping her. He has even come to the point where he is giving her medication for epilepsy. ( she does not have this) but he says it will help her. Can someone please help me help her?

I notice that the post from above is dated awhile back. Do they still offer the support group?
