View Full Version : Sick of Winter
I am so sick of winter...
We are in the middle of snow storm right now. Of course they didn't predict anything major so everybody around here is driving like an idiot. A few of the major highways in the area have had awful addicents. I 95 in southern MA had a major car pile up that invloved closed to one hundred cars.
Yes and for the second time in the past week or so. I have fallen on the ice. My sare from last week when I slipped in my steps and fell into the bushes was just starting to heal...Then I had to slip on the ice in the driveway and fell on my bottom
Awww hugsssss Tara. We don't get many snowstorms down here...but man...wait till the summer comes...then you'll be missing that snow!

I agree... I am very tired of winter. Went to see my Dad this week and they were having 70 some degree weather. This is awful..came home to weather in the 20's and a winter storm watch. Grrrrrrrrrrr!

i went and bought seeds and all that sort last week,
the pansies i wanted to plant are now DYING
b/c it's TOO COLD.
i'm done with winter
ok...Winter is coming again. Anyone actually looking forward to it?
tudorose 10-18-03, 09:48 PM We've just had winter - it only lasted about 2 months. We didn't get enough rain to fill up the dams (again) so that means more water restrictions for this summer. We have no grass in the garden because we aren't allowed to water it enough so that it won't die. Right now the weather is beautiful but in a couple of months it will be 35-40 degrees celcius EVERY DAY! And the night time temperatures only drop to about 25 degrees - Yuck!
The only thing I like about Winter is that my pain in the back side aunt who owns this house, and has no idea what it takes to live on this old resort won't be coming around for a while with her outrageous, wacky, and just plain ridiculous ideas. She drives me nuts since she lives in a City where everything is located within the city limits and then come out here to the country and expects us to have things done in minutes without conscious thought that in order to accomplish the task at hand it is an hour drive to the nearest store where the items to complete the task can be bought..oiy.
domo-kun 10-20-03, 12:25 PM One word: SAD. I can't wait until next May. In the meantime, I have full spectrum lights and antidepressants to keep me going.

Well it has been over 12 months, i hope you are feeling better!
89 degrees today is the expected high.
Oct 20, 2003 Quite warm for this part of the year here. Nice getting there though, it was very cold here this morning... ?40's?
I'm not really looking forward to it since we had such a harsh winter last year. I'm sure I'll be excited when the 1st snow fall comes though...
domo-kun 10-20-03, 02:12 PM I think the reality that summer was over was when I wore a sweater last week. This week I will be lowering the storm windows and putting the summer clothes away for the winter.
BigDaddy 10-22-03, 12:30 PM Its about 2C here in the UK. I knew summer was over when it went from record higyhs of 100+F plumminting down 2 12C in under a month!! Thats harsh!!lol
I used to like it but not as much as I get older maybe I will move to a warmer climate this year, (LOL).
Speaking of first snows... Did you all have snow this morning??
No snow, but really brisk wind this morning.
domo-kun 10-24-03, 11:13 AM We get an extra hour of sleep this weekend. ;-)
