Do you Remeber When you first joined the ADDforums.........

I didn't so I had to go look .........03-16-03

I was member number 180

We are now at 3800 and some members

That is an increase of ____ % ( a whole bunch anyway )

I remeber how I felt when I found the Forums and started reading the posts for the first time.

Like wow ---- who turned on the light ............


David, Big and Tara and all the Moderators ................

Once again I want to say thank you for doing an outstanding job in keeping 3800 + ADDers in line and staying on Topic (sort of )


If you guys never accomplish anything else in your life you can allways smile to yourself everytime you think of the Forums or a new member joins.

This is old yes I am bumping it possibly. When this was posted I had been here only six months. I am now 2 years and seven months in the future.I do remember when very well, I wanted some one to talk to about some thing that didn't involve pallets, money or the latest crisis and because TV without cable sucks.

I had already been diagnosed some 11 years with ADD and it felt god to be able to know the answers some times. . . . instead of always being the one with questions.

When Garry posted this my life was very different. I felt like it was crumbling around me and I was helpless to stop it. Here I became exposed to a variety of perspective and developed one of my own that included the idea that I was as helpless as I believed myself to be.




I began being the me I wanted to be here and believe it or not this "persona" of meadd823 actually transfered over into the real life of Tammy. . . . I am looking through old post and seeing how the seeds of what is now my reality began to forum

So many times we are tempted to say this is only cyber space and this lulls us into some false belief that what goes on here isn't real. Nothing could be further from the truth people. There are people behind the words you read and lives behind the ideas presented,. I believe in the power of words now where I didn't when this was written. Reading these old post reminds me that with this medium lives have been changed for the It isn't much of a stretch to say I know for a fact one or two were possibly even saved.

Yea I remember when I joined and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Here is to those who were not here in Novemeber 2004 but have joined sense then.
