Hello, thought I would share the positive spirituality of my world-view.
Rememebr this is only my opinion.

1. No such thing as sin... nothing to feel guilty about.
Sin Complex leads to giult and low self esteem, . Hereditary Transmission of Sin philosophy is false and self destructive, When I see a newborn infant and a mother interact, they show a natural inborn trait of love, compassion, and gentalness. The baby wants to be loved, the mother wants to give love. Its natural for humans to want peace and Happiness.

2. Hell doesnt exist...nothing to be depressed about.

3. I want to do the "right "thing, love one another, be kind to others not because its the "right" thing to do, not because I am promised rewards in heaven. But because it makes me feel good and valuable.

4. my actions define who-I-am

5. No afterlife....I dont remember the past 12 billion years, I dont rememebr being unhappy or unfulfilled. Death is natural, normal, a small price we must all pay for the expereince of being alive. Death is nothing to be afraid of. I have been nonexistent 12 billion times longer than I have been alive, therefore nonexistence is my natural state of existence.

6. A human lifetime is precious, once its gone, its gone, therefore sieze the day, strive to overcome weakness and pursue positive personal growth, and wake up every day with a smile.

7. No angry God exists

how it helps my ADD: add is a strictly physical non-metaphysical medical condition therefore I will look for naturalistic causes for my condition, and rely on tested and validated methods to help.
Prayer and faith ( although I am not saying they are a negative things) doesnt seem to help. I only have to look at history and past epidemics to conclude that the sucsess rate for faith/prayer vs. medication.... medical science wins hands down every time.

Hereditary Transmission of Sin: I have always hated this concept. Yet it exists in many religious and spiritual beliefs in some form or another. It is the best conveyor of guilt that there is. There is no escape from it. No good deed mitigates it. No prayer appeals it. No love redeems it.

reuseablepheonix: Sounds like you're talking about my philosophy of "Be excellent to each other." I find that, most of the time, when I'm nice to other people, they are nice back. It rarely takes much additional effort for me to be nice, so I just do it. For example, if someone appears to be stranded on the side of the road, if I can, I will pull over and at least see if they need to use a phone or something, if I have the time to stop.

Be excellent to each other.

Party On, Dude!

:D

(the above philosophy is not identical to mine, but is compatible with it...)
