Our weekend is extra long here in Pennsylvania. We are off Thursday, Friday, the weekend and Monday!
Monday is also a holiday - its the first day of deer season! :D In my rural county, there is no school on the first day of buck season because of such a high absenteeism that its easier just to schedule it off.
I guess that changes your theory Garry. :)
Yup sure does
Have to admit I like that monday part...... And I don't even hunt.....
It sure makes it nice to see the rural people get a bonus that the city people dont
But then I guess we rural people get many bonus's that city people don't

I am thankful that I am not homeless and on Thanksgiving I will remember those who are. I am glad I have a coat to wear and on Thanksgiving I will remember those who don't. I am glad I will have a meal to eat and that I can eat it with those of my choosing and on Thanksgiving I will remember those who do not have enough of either food or love.
Yeah that's for sure. I got it easy.

Coral Rhedd-
I could not agree more.
From my point of view, we are all only a few catostrophic life experiences away from financial or emotional or spiritual poverty...(i.e. the folks in Florida who have lost their homes in the bad weather...families embroiled in abusive situations who live in shelters and are separated from their families...people who lived paycheck to paycheck who have lost their jobs during economic crunches...families who have loved ones serving overseas, who will never be the same, even if they live through the experience... )
I am thankful every day that unfortunate circumstances, or my own bad decisions, haven't added up to a cost I could not pay.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
