I love these tips. They make it sound much less intimidating. Hope they can benefit someone else, too. :)

My favorite tip is:

"Start. It all begins with the first step. Getting still and present. Observe your thoughts without attaching and remember that meditating is like learning to walk, except it is our inner terrain we are learning to navigate – it takes time to still the fluctuations of the mind. In the words of my teacher Yogi Bhajan, we have to outlast our own noise!" ~Kia Miller

Thank you for this! I think I will start tomorrow. I'm already over my computer time limit and late for bed!

Meditation is ‘just sitting’ .
Eyes open or closed, your choice.
Music and candles or silence, your choice.
Being in the moment.
Let your thoughts come and go without holding onto or questioning anything.
Take a few deep breaths to relax.
A simple meditation can be where you simply count your breaths as you inhale and exhale.
For beginners, sitting for ten minutes is good.
Once you begin to feel the benefits of a quiet, calm mind, you will want to gradually increase your session time.

Try it.

Enjoy!
