Just a little test to see how observant you are:
Just something kind of fun
How many of these questions can you answer?
Are you really THAT observant? You sure????
The average person only gets 7 right. This is based on U.S. & CDN info, so use all lobes of your brain. This can be more difficult than it looks - it just shows how little most of us really see!
There are 27 questions about things we see every day or have known about all our lives. How many can you get right? These little simple questions are harder than you think-- it just shows you how little we pay attention to the commonplace things of life.
Can you beat 20?? (The average is 7)
Write down your answers and then check your answers (on the bottom) only AFTER completing all the questions. REMEMBER - NO CHEATING!!! --- BE HONEST!!!
That means no looking at your phone or anything on your desk...Then, before you pass this on to your friends, change the number on the subject line to show how many you got correct.
LET'S JUST SEE HOW OBSERVANT YOU REALLY ARE.
Here we go!

pembroke 12-07-04, 11:21 PM i got 20. pretty proud of all the useless trivia floating around in my head.
livinginchaos 12-08-04, 02:40 AM 15 for me. . . not too bad. That was fun, thanks, Garry!
But, I had no clue about the Canadian money q's!
Deeperblue 12-08-04, 11:05 AM I'm not "average" but not telling ya in what "direction"
and oh, what is a lug nut? Guess I haven't looked at my car wheels lately *&%$#@ oops!
And hey, no fair 'cause I don't live in Canada, so how am I 'sposed ta know what's on your money? But I did know that red was the top color of the US flag--- :D
pembroke 12-08-04, 11:27 AM the only reason i know about the loon on the back of the canadian one dollar coin is because i've spent time there...it's on the 2 dollar coin, too, i think - loonies and toonies.
Deeperblue 12-08-04, 11:49 AM yeah, but at least you know. I can't even remember what is on American money. Maybe I do know but I sure can't retrieve the information...... :( or maybe it's because I haven't seen much of it lately? ;)
And the only reason I knew on which side the buttons are, is because I am wearing my b/f's shirt and assuming that it actually is a guy's shirt, I just looked (I peeked) and through deductive reasoning (hehe :D ) I, ehem, come to my very astute conclusion.
pembroke 12-08-04, 11:59 AM sorry - like hubby says, i am a font of useless information. do good at trivia games, though. can't remember the stuff i need to, though....like why am i at the grocery store?
BettyBoop 12-08-04, 12:19 PM I got 15.....YEAH!!!
T1Thoughts 12-08-04, 03:16 PM 20..........
gingagirl 12-08-04, 08:58 PM I got 18.
The cord on the right side moves my venetian blinds up & down! Or did you mean "rotate" the individual blinds up & down ...I guess I might have misunderstood that question, but I knew which side did what, so I counted my answer as correct.
I have met MANY people who don't know how many states there are in the USA, and it still always shocks me.
I am a very visual person ...I visualized each item before I answered. I have never seen a Canadian dollar, rarely seen a Canadian penny & rarely look at wheels, so I got those wrong. As for the hotdog buns, I didn't try to visualize that one & I got it wrong ...I should've know better than to rely on my memory for that one!!
Coral Rhedd 12-08-04, 09:11 PM I only got eleven but the answer given to number 16 is incorrect. A stop sign only has two sides: The front and the back. The question should have requested the number of edges instead. A two dimensional stop sign may have "sides" but real world stop signs must be considered in the real world.
Coral Rhedd 12-08-04, 09:14 PM I got 18.

They could easily make the number of buns match the number of hotdogs in the hotdog package. IT'S A CONSPIRACY!
gingagirl 12-08-04, 10:40 PM Found this while surfing...:D
Ever noticed how you get 10 hotdogs in a package and only 8 buns in a package? Why do you suppose it's done that way.
1) Brilliant selling promotion -- you have to buy 4 packs of dogs and 5 packs of buns to come out even.
2) Billy Bob and Joe Frank down at the packaging plant can't count.
3) The hotdog makers and the bun makers are secretly at war with each other, each side hoping that the other will soon cave and conform to their way of thinking about how many dogs/buns should be in a package.
KMiller 12-09-04, 01:36 AM I got 16, but I think I should get some bonus credit because I've never seen a canadian dime or dollar in my life, I'm colorblind so I would have no clue about blues being on a campbell's label (blue = grey unless it's REALLY bright, and I said "silver" instead of blue), and I've never seen a VHF TV.
Also, there is no "standard" for no smoking signs, and I have seen them both ways. Heh.
gypsysway 12-09-04, 04:34 PM 20 here...................

gabriela 12-11-04, 10:33 AM i scored a "lousy" 11, but since some of the questions are "northamerican" (hey; are you guys discriminating against us *non-northamericans*?;-), i think i did pretty well...
