Interesting conjecture with some backing so I would suggest caution but it is interesting.

Interesting research in several directions.

The gasterontologist we took my autistic granddaughter to this summer says that

many of her autistic patients present with blockages in the execretory system

which could be linked to immune dysregulation.

I also recently read an article discussing research that the age of the father relative to

the age of the mother can contribute to autism in the child - especially if the father is

over 40 and the mother is more than 10 years younger.

My son-in-law was just 40 when my granddaughter was born and my daughter was 28. Hm ...

The theory is just as aging eggs in the mother may contribute to the occurance of Down's

Syndrome, the father's sperm have also been aging and may have degraded.

A fatherís age, not a motherís, is the single largest factor in the risk of passing on new gene mutations to children and may help to explain why childhood autism rates are rising. Haha interesting, my dad was 50 when I was born (and my mother 11 years younger than him).
