Do you chat with your family, and or partner? Or do you just sit there and forget they are there?

Is dinner time a fun time? Is it a time where you and your family connect?

I have always had the belief that dinner time should be a time for connections between people.

How do the rest of you feel about meal times, especially dinner?

I find eating and talking to be difficult; I'd rather just sit and eat quietly.

we do the family thing - catch up on each other's day and discuss plans.

When I was growing up my parents were really not around much so we (my brother, sister and I) would eat whenever.

To this day my parents and I still have dinner standing up at the kitchen counter, we only sit down on special occasions. Normally we eat at separate times in front of a TV. located in the kitchen (for that purpose)

I actually prefer a magazine or book that is if no one is around to shoot the ish with.

It depends on what everyones plans are for the evening. But if we do get t osit down and eat as a family we usually talk about what happened that day or what is going to be happening. Other times we eat in front of the TV.

This is just what my fam and me are like when I see them. As to me and my children. I am trying to do something different but it ends up we only eat together at a "every other day or so" schedule type thing. I am a single mom of 3 and woaaa baby! :eek: Ok .. um ADD and 3 kids and single.. hmmm I think "every other day or so" is doing good so far with all the stuff I have to manage.. LOL
