I'm looking for a tool to track how much time I spend on various websites. I've found several apps that *block* websites, but I'd like to start with something that tells me how much time I'm actually spending/wasting on particular sites.

Freeware or shareware would be awesome, but not necessary.

Doesn't the history bar do that? I know it says when you go on the website, if you look at the clock when you leave that should tell you.

Thanks, but I need something automatic. If I rely on myself to note the times, I won't keep it up for long.

Not sure which browser you're using, but there's a few extensions for Chrome that track usage. I've recently been using timeStats, which seems to work fine. There's another one called Time Tracker which is more basic.

I don't have Chrome installed, but I may try it. Thanks for the suggestion.

I found an extension for FireFox called Rescue Time, but that seems to want to connect to the net when I use it, which sort of defeats my purpose of minimizing net time at work.
