I'm trying to find a good ADHD doctor who knows about ADHD-PI in the Atlanta area. I've tried various resources but cannot seem to find a reliable doc.

Can anyone offer suggestions please?

Any adhd specialist will know about adhd-http://psychiatrists.psychologytoday.com/rms/prof_results.php?city=Atlanta&county=Fulton&state=GA&spec=6.

Quick Google of Atlanta adhd specialists.

ginniebean,

Thank you. I should have been clearer. I have been able to Google a list of Atlanta area doctors but is there a resources/site that can show ratings and ability to filter by those that specialize in Adult ADHD etc.?

The Psychology Today link shows four doctors and some of them don't prescribe meds i.e. they talk of behavioral therapies etc.

Surely there has to be a few more ADHD specialists in an area the size of metro Atlanta?

Here's a link to your local CHADD group. They should have a list of local psychiatrists able to make a diagnosis and give treatment if needed.

There's a regional forum on here somewhere I think towards the bottom where you can get referrals and opinions from other members of this site. You might try there as well. Word of caution, beware of what you read on review sites. I just use it to get a feel for things, but don't take it always as concrete that a dr is good or lackluster either.

Finding an ADHD specialist should be specialist enough ^_^
