I am new to this. Has anyone else been diagnosed BPII or rapid cycling but think that ADD is really what they have? A lot of my problems seem to stem from my lack of being able to focus, addictions, failures of 3 companies I started at once....I cannot stand any of the BP meds thus do not take them. My experiece has been they make you brain dead, making it even harder to focus and you gain a lot of weight I have been reading a lot about Adult ADD and think that this is really what is up.
thanks

Maybe . . .
I was diagnosed as BPII but my therapist has about decided that I am Cyclothymic with ADD and a Seasonal Affective Disorder. However, the fact that you started three companies at once makes me think that you should not yet discard the BP diagnosis.
What meds have you used for BP?

I have tried depakote, seroquel, and have been on zoloft for almost 6 years (which i was told made my situation worse). I started those 3 companies all at the same time and lacked total focus and thus could not get them too far off the ground. These same patterns have affected me a lot throughout my life. I hated the meds when I was on them because all I felt was tired and out of it.
