I have lost my confidence with my last two jobs. I don't feel like I have the ability to be anything but a CSR despite being extremely bright and hard working. I am able to figure things out that my boss has trouble has figuring out. I feel like I am in a total rut, and my ADHD traits are outshadowing my good peformance despite the fact that they do not actually have a negative impact on my peformance. For example, my desk appears to be messy, but I know where everything is at and I don't forget to complete projects. But I think the fact that it appears to be messy is held against me. I am frustrated, and burned out..and feeling hopeless..

I've always felt that your work area is much like your bedroom. It's a sacred place that should bring comfort and familiarity but when it holds you back from meeting your full potential something has to give.
My advice really sucks I know. Clean your desk...clean it every night at the end of your shift until it becomes a habit. When you move on you will be in the habit of mainaining an organized and clean work area. Habit is the only way I survive.
