 i want to point out something that could be very important to members of any of the private forums. if you do not log out and clean out your temporary internet files very regularly, someone else using your computer could very easily find the forum, look at the new posts, and then gain immediate access to any of the recent threads showing up in that new post list, private or not!

if you want to make sure anyone sharing your computer cannot do this, you need to be aware that these security measures should be taken!!!!

if anyone knows of a simpler solution, please do pass it on. i am hardly a computer wizard and only figured this out by accident!

This is a function of your Internet brower, and not a security flaw of the ADD Forums. If you're concerned with preventing others checking where you've been on the Internet, or gaining access to recently visited sites, you might consider running a free cache cleaner like Crap Cleaner, available at www.ccleaner.com

The absolute best program you can invest $$ in is called cyberscrub. What most do not realize is that long after you get rid of a hard drive, even "I" could get hold of all your data, even if you had deleted it.

For data to be truly gone, it needs to be written over.

This cleaning process is, as Big says, nothing to do with ADD forums, and it is our responsibility to enure our privacy. You might be safe at home as I am, but I sure don't want "some" reading all my psycho ramblings:D I use cyberscrub.

Other programs simply clean, they do not erase. ;)
