View Full Version : Face Painting Inquiry

I volunteered to do face painting for the kids at a friend's special event next weekend, but I've never done it before.

I have pretty basic drawing skills and the paints, etc. are provided, so I'm sure I can wing it, but I was wondering if any voices of experience have any helpful hints or things to be sure not to do?

Practice on yourself first!

Get q tips and make up sponges (with the square edges)

Cut some stencils out if you want- butterfly shapes etc. Then you can swab over the stencil with a light color (say violet) and then go back in with darker colors for outlines and details. Or skip the stencil but follow the same principal.

Bring glitter to toss on at the end.

I found this for you-
All great tips.

They even have stencils, but I think I'd rather make my own-

I was never a professional face painter, but I was a professional temporary tattoo artist once upon a time. I loved it! Have fun!
