I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 6 years old. It really helped me get straight A's and helped me to build better relationships with my family and school friends. When I got to highschool, they took me off ritalin and put me on Adderall b/c I didnt have the HD anymore. It worked out fine, but then I started smoking pot and didn't take my meds anymore. Now, I am 20, at a closer walk to God and engaged to the most beautiful man in the world. I am starting a new job in a couple of days. I got this job through a lady at my church. I can't focus, I can't remember and I am very forgetful, I am having a hard time maintaining friendships b/c I am impulsive and such. I realize now that I need to be back on medication. I have been switching jobs a lot because I cant stay focused and my attention span is just way off. I don't want to mess up my new job. I want a 4 year plan. I am currently just starting to go to college. I can't get any medical benefits for 3 months. Does anyone have any suggestions on free medical help or something of the sort just until I can get medical? I understand my ADD completely, but I can not control it. I am not ashamed of it, but I know I need some help. I want to live a stable life. I just can't do it right now without medication. Thank you,

Some schools offer medications (mine did agt least) - free or discounted with the proper proof of ADD/ADHD. See if yours does ... goto the Disablity center and ask about what they can do to help you until you get insurance. It couldn't hurt to try ...

Good luck to you!!!
