I don't have this problem myself, but I have heard of it. I would guess it's just one of those sounds you are hyper alert/reactive to.

Personaly i have urges to do things when everyone is at the door with their coats on , to go somewhere. I have my coat on and i have this ( God knows where that is coming from LOL) to start a load of wash, or put stuff on the carpet so when i come back i can vaccum..My kids knows me now, so when they see me heading for the washer, they grab me and drag me out of the house LOL

Yeah, this happens a lot. Im not sure if effects me anymore, but it used to. I think this goes for almost all people, except for those immune few.

Bathroom post response: Yes ! It's very frustrating, because when I wash my hands I almost always need to use the restroom which means that I have to wash my hands again!:eek: You can probably see the problem here! ;)
