It's simple, I know, but I heavily rely on my trusty phone (which never leaves my side), data cable and outlook to remind me of most things. Connecting the phone via the data cable allows me to syncronise reminders between the phones organiser (birthdays, meetings, to do lists, etc) and outlook's calendar. Outlook takes over when I'm at home. The only thing I have to do is remember to connect them. People with an infra red (IR) link have a simpler option as there is no cable involved. Sometimes it's the simplest option that works as we all suffer from the frustration and tears that something not working can cause.
