I (ADHD) told my wife I would stop by GNC to get some vitamins for her. I took the old bottle and ask the sales person what do the have that would be equivlant to what she was taking.
She was taking a daily weight control multi-vitamin that included green tea extract. They did not have an equivlant, but told me the same ingrediants were in a product they had called Cortisol. So i purchased a multi-vitamin and the Cortisol.
Got home and gave them to my wife and told her this is what they recommended.
This was about 1 week ago. Come to find out this morning she was upset that I would by her weight gain pills. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
How would others feel about what I did?
I am so confused.

Tim, I am concerned that you were given "Cortisol" over the counter at a chemist. It is a steroid, and yes, it can make her gain weight. It could also be very dangerous. Did you have a prescription?
But did you explain that you were given the pills and told they were the same as her usual ingredients. Did you tell her that you are not a pharmacist and didn't know what you were bringing home?
Tim, you trusted the chemist. I cannot understand why your wife cannot understand this if you told her. How about approaching the place where you made this purchase and asking as to why you were told wrong information, and then go home to your wife and tell her you spoke to the chemist on her behalf.

Oops! ADD moment ....
The product is an appitite surpressant (sp) not weight gain pills. This is an over the counter suppliment that is all natural. Green tea extract is the main ingrediant.
Anyway she was upset that I would buy her an a appitite surpressant (sp).
Sorry for the confusion.

Tim, be honest with your wife...tell her she's fat!!! NO I"m only kidding.
But, do be honest. Tell her you took the bottle to the GNC because you didn't want to screw it up for her and they said that this one had all the ingredients but this so they said I would need to get both bottles for the effect of the old one. Am I making any sense? For a couple of days stare at her and grin and wink when she looks your way and a couple well placed wolf calls won't hurt either.

LOL That is too cute Futz, thanks. If a stranger made wolf calls at me I'd give him/her a dirty look, but hubby?...I'd blush and enjoy the compliment. Too cute. Please try it Tim.

OK I've had a few hours of sleep and now realize that I didn't make a whole lot of sense. Just tell your wife your tired and screwing up and doing your level headed best to do right by her. She asked for this vitamin and by God you were going to get it for her even if it meant she had to take two instead of one YOU WERE OING TO DO SOMETHING RIGHT. p.s. the kiss and wolf calls would still work to ensure her that you find her to be one HOT MOMMA!!

Tim, If your wife is anything like mine it has NOTHING to do with the stuff you bought. She's just using it as a reason to get upset with you.
There is something else going on and it has nothing to do with GNC.
Thanks for making my soda come out my nose, y'all !!
You guys have a gift of making me laugh so much !
Thank you!

Have you tried asking your wife if she is just putting her anxiety about her weight on your shoulders? When I feel self consious about my weight I tend to think and feel that everyone is thinking along the same lines. And I do jump my husband a lot about it but he just tells me to shut up I'm still sexy. lol
