I've been taking adderall XR for almost a week now. The first 2 days were ok-minimal side effects, felt more focused, food was disgusting-the usual.

The third day was better, but I didn't "feel" it when i took it this time. I'm not sure if my body got used to it-or if my fast metabolism made it wear off quickly but it seemed that it only lasted about 5 hours, with no real "peak."

My doctor said that I didn't need to take it everyday, only when I have something I really need to focus on, like studying. So I was wondering if I took it off & on, only when needed if I would get the effects of the first 2 days-where i knew it was working, or if my body would stay adjusted to it and I wouldn't feel any side effects, just calm & focused?
