I also work with children with disabilities! It's great and the best way that I can help the little ones deal with the same problems we had as children. We need so many more people like you to join our field. WELCOME! :) casper 02-27-05, 10:57 PM Raspberryrum29- I am a chef at a private club in WI. I do enjoy what i do right now, but who knows I have always wanted to teach. U just never know what the future will bring, right?? ditzygirl 03-11-05, 12:05 AM How many years of schooling is it? BananaSlip 03-13-05, 12:33 AM Usually, if you want to make a decent salary, you'll want to get a Master's degree. That's just an additional 2 to 3 years of schooling. This is just my opinion, but if you try to work right after getting your Bachelor's and work on the Master's part-time, it'll take you 6 or more busy, stressful years (work plus school -- aarrgh!) Unless you have a financial situation that allows you to do that, I would suggest going ahead and getting it over with. Also, if you want to be a counselor, psychologist, speech-language pathologist, or occupational therapist, you'll have to get your Master's. Hope that helps! Good luck, dear! :) aneededchange 03-13-05, 11:32 AM Usually, if you want to make a decent salary, you'll want to get a Master's degree. That's just an additional 2 to 3 years of schooling.
