My husband, in my opinion, has many of the signs of someone with adult ADD. I talked with him last night about this and his emotional response (as a tear fell on his cheek) was "I'm fine.". How do I approach him about having an evaluation without offending him? I really think that our life will be much easier and both our frustration levels will be lower if we knew what the issue was. Thanks for your help. I'm just looking for some kind, supportive advice.

Go into it with the utmost sincerity. Tell him you've observed the following things (X, Y, Z) and you want him to be happy and feel good. Go to www.amenclinic.com (http://www.amenclinic.com) and do the quiz they offer. Answer the questions about him as you would see it from your perspective. Remember the score. Let your husband know that you love him and you are not trying to change him. Tell him you see his frustration and only want to help. Then ask him if he would like to take a quiz to understand if it could be related to ADD. Give him the link and let him do it in private. Tell him he dosen't have to share the answers with you. He will need to decide to go to the next level of a formal diagnosis. You can not make him go.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.
