How can HDACinhibitors do so much ?

Wild blood glucose fluctuations (hunger) demand carbs.

It's a one stop shop cure to all diseases of Western living.

And yours for free - if you'd only chill out (within a society which is permissive of chillin').

'course - you're gonna' have to make that society happen - but thereafter it's all plain sailing.

"reducing sensitivity to painful stimuli."

Crazy immune reactions (pain also) to eg pollen ?

-*-

We're predisposed towards existence predominantly under ketosis.

Diet and Stress (Western) prevent us from holding the state down.

It'd (holding ketosis) come naturally in an environment without chronic psych stress.

Excess animal protein/carb/sweet food intake (like alcohol) is a stress-relief (reactive) measure.

We've no conscious control over it - stress drives us - without conscious intervention - to reach for foods - sugar/animal protein/starch which lift low (reactive hypoglycaemia) blood glucoses post-hyper stress induced episode.

What would a well-fed (on starch and sugar) individual's blood glucoses do - when under psychological stress.

The body doesn't need the 'energy' but knows no better than to react to psych. stress as it does to physical stress (starvation/flight/fight).

A recipe for disaster ?

And a problem with no evolutionary solution due to new nature of mind.

Solution to this basic problem is to fast-track and use mind to create a societal environment/infrastructure which doesn't cause excessive chonic psych. stress.

A moral/fair/equal societal infrastructure.

I've:
'sweet' - glucose (stimulant)
'umami' - glutamate (excitotoxin,stimulant)
'salt' - High plasma sodium levels (think battery)
'acid forming foods' - High plasma proton counts (think battery)

The meat and pastry treacle tart !

We're programmed with motivation to grow ... ... so how do we stop ourselves over-growing.

Pain from foods of over-growth ?

How do we find foods which aren't associated with over-growth (disease) ?

The fresh, organic vegan ketosis diet ticks all of the boxes.

What's the essential part of holding down this diet ?
[1] Transcending the 'attraction' towards virulent growth (primitive reward mechanism) - think Homer taking on Lisa's diet (Simpsons!!)
[2] Absence of chronic psych. stress (blood glucose fluctuations).

Is the diet as described above sensible ?
Best for the environment, easiest to produce, no pesticides/fertilizers required, no pain to animals, local autonomy, easily seen as optimal for human health (even if human beings will fight to avoid veg) ... ... ...

So - what's the catch ?
You'll never hold it down if you're trapped in material world desire or away from material world desire - and in (as you will be) - a state of chronic psych. stress.

It's a fairly interesting catch-22 as the evolutionary mechanism (God) puts us in check-mate.

It's important to realise that in all but the last 30,000 or so years - or maybe that's just 3 or 4,000 years - since the advent of written language - and mind with capacity to record ideas - that evolution hasn't required our form of intelligence to create.
So that's evolutionary mechanism creating without human intelligence for 13,700,000,000 - 4000 years ... ... hardly as if it needs us.

You can't be healthy without wisdom and you can't be healthy with wisdom
- unless wisdom changes societal infrastructure.

Have to hand it to the evolutionary method - by hook or by crook, and accepting that (to our perspective) s/he operates in mysterious ways
- his/her will be done.

The entire planet, ecosystem, every level of life as well as dumbo humans will benefit from the dual interventions of setting up a fair global societal infrastructure and eating a vegan (ketogenic) diet.

That's all.

Tricky part to this idea ?

Until attaining wisdom - there's this voice in our heads (God delusion) which tells us that we can be anything we 'desire' - President of A place, head of some slavery organization ... ... President of A place as head of some slavery organization

- the pre-wise human mind has a peculiar outlook on reality - believes that reality is there to be bent to suit the individual's will ... ... is not predisposed to seeing that the individual is a pawn in the evolutionary tapestry ... ... thing is - is that there is no deflation which comes with the humility of realising that there's this game - and your goal is to play it - and you don't set the rules
- where the game is to help the evolutionary imperative (which 'you' actually are)
- to attain forever increasing informational complexity

... ... but it's all about the big picture and not the individual player.

Even the least astute of us - will have realised that 1 lifespan isn't significant on a Universal timeline which runs on billions of years.

Best we can do - is to play the game - escape material world desire - and die a painless death when the time comes.

Certainly beats becoming a victim to the diseases of Western living from first memory.

Or to explain that last comment
- the difficult part to the idea that there's a certain way that we need to live, to an organism that is programmed (until wisdom) to live in the opposite way
- is heeding the advice.

People simply react violently - when the prospect is raised of the loss of the factors (which'er killing them) - which through addiction - and stress-relief are - bizarrely, the key factor allowing people to retain sanity.

Sole solution - eliminate the need for stress relief (see Peripheral's Rat Park video)
- and human beings will normalize on a lifestyle which does not require toxic stress-relief mechanisms.

If rats can be addicted to morphine - and then when placed in a stress-free environment can actively refuse morphine ... ... then human beings can be weaned off meat and potato treacle tarts with lit cigarettes poking out - ash swimming in beer ... ... with a delicate cocaine and opium dressing.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rat_Park
Rats who had been forced to consume morphine hydrochloride for 57 consecutive days were brought to Rat Park and given a choice between plain tap water and water laced with morphine. For the most part, they chose the plain water. "Nothing that we tried," Alexander wrote, "... produced anything that looked like addiction in rats that were housed in a reasonably normal environment."don't like it living here in this town
He says the traps have been sprung long before he was born
He says "hope bites the dust behind all the closed doors
And puss and grime ooze from its scab crusted sores
There's screaming and crying in the high rise blocks"
It's a rat trap, but you're already caughtYou'd better find a way out, hey, kick down the door
It's a rat trap and you've been caught
In this town, "everybody's tryin' to tell you what to do"
In this town, "everybody says you gotta follow rules"
You walk up to the traffic lights,
Switch from your left to right
You push in that button, and that button comes alight
It tells you
"walk"
"don't walk"
"talk"

Stress relief (eg pain relief - morphine) strictly conditional on stress
- underlying the 'so called' diseases of Western living.

Where the diseases of Western living have gone global
- with the simplest description of what we're doing wrong is operating out of the best interests of the group (species).

The evolutionary impulse is towards survival of the species
- and so we're contravening the evolutionary motivation (which is all there is)
- by not forming a fully collaborative species level structure (globally)

- in which all people are encouraged to be the best they can be
- because the rest of us are then free to enjoy whatever the creatives (that's all people - potentially) generate through developing their own personal excellence in whichever (or all) informational compartments open to man.

The transition from a dreary grey environment of law/money/heavy industry/pollution to the shades of green and blue of the natural world and information (both of which just want to be free).

Just had a delicious lamb curry with soft potatoes and white rice, with Coca Cola.

Now enjoying a cigarette and Scotch.

Coffee later, or maybe tea. (The South Asian type, none of that green Chinese slop)

Some things make generalised anxiety and bipolar disorder so much less distressing :)
