View Full Version : Speed of effect

I'm just curious how quickly someone would feel the effects of wellbutrin. I'm not on it now, but I was prescribed it a few years ago by my GP for anxiety because he thought that would help me quit smoking. He told me it would take about a month before it started working. I took it for maybe a little over two weeks. I never felt any different on it and I kept forgetting to take it. After a few series of taking it every other or every two days I just stopped bothering. I'm just wondering if it's as 'instant' as something like adderall or if it has to build up in the system for a while first.

Needs to build up in the system for a while, anywhere between 2 and 6 weeks.

And it's *never* going to be *remotely* as potent as Adderall or any other stimulant.

Yea, at the time ADD wasn't even a blip on my radar. I went there because I had a throat infection and he wanted me to quit smoking for the obvious reasons. The whole thing happened to cross my mind today and I figured I'd ask. Thanks!
