I live in canada. Adderall has been taken off the market. blah that was my first choice as a med. anyhow, my new doc (who's more knowledgeable about meds and ADD patients) prescribed me dexedrine spansules.

so like a good boyscout I do some research on the net, which started here, of course. I've read threads about Barr, ethex, mallin, and shire (dextrostrat) here, which prompted my concerns about what was prescribed to me.

the info on spansules I found it is not made by glaxo but by Cardinal Health, Winchester, KY 40391. however, the heading, "Dexedrine Spansule capsules
Manufacturer: GlaxoSmithKline" adds to the confusion.

the prescription label for "mfg" doesn't state even an abbreviation of the manufacturer. My question is Cardinal the only manufacturer of spansules? or am I getting a generic who I do not know the fabber is? Or is Glaxo the fabber?

from visual inspections, the descriptions from the link above nearly-matches the physical representation of my 10mg spansule capsules.

I just want to know I"m getting primo brand not junk that won't work. I guess I'll have to call the pharmacy to get an answer.

The only dexedrine you can get in Ontario - and probably the rest of Canada - is the name brand - there is no generic available :-(
I'd buy generic in a second if it was available - same chemical different price!
You'd have to research the companies, but I'll bet that Cardinal is somehow associated with GSK.
