Its been awhile sinced i have post.....I hope yall dont mind that i'm back.Alot has been going on including the decision to take Tator off his meds. You see I feel like I have done the best thing for him but there are still them little doughts that go through my mind maybe i shouldent have. School starts back real soon (2 weeks) and I dont want him to fall behind but I really would like to keep him off meds. I know theres nothing wrong with him being on them and we could tell a Huge differnce in his school work and him being able to pay attention and all but he had alot of side effects that i hated to sit and watch him go through.:( I know that my husband and I are the only ones who can make this decision but it is so hard sometimes.Well i will close now.....I hope everyone is doing great! And i promise I will come back and post soon:cool: Sorry i vented i just knew that yall would understand.

Thanks Tracy: Deciding to discontinue your child's meds is a very personal decision that only you and your husband can make. Noone else can say what's right or wrong. I am sure that you and he thought long and hard about it before you made this difficult decision and I'm also sure you did absolutely what you thought was in the best interests of your child. Side effects are tough, no doubt about that. I was on Strattera for a month...and although it helped a little, the side effects were deadly...so I certainly understand. Good luck as he starts school again. Thanks for keeping us posted:)

Well, there are other options- I have decided to pursue an organic treatment route for the moment for several reasons. You should look into this, just eliminating sugar, adding vitamin and mineral supplements and the like has made a dramatic difference in many ADD people's lives. It may not be for everyone, but it sounds like it might be for you.

Apparently, colloidal minerals are a BIG part of the treatment, with a lot of parents saying they've seen drastic improvement within 48-72 hours, sometimes overnight.

Bear in mind, and I might be wrong here, but truly colloidal minerals are so finely ground that they are easily assimilated by the body, whereas some companies try to fool you with similarly labeled "mineral complexes" etc. Of course, that might be someone else's attempt to show why I should buy their minerals.

In other words, you're gonna have to do your own research on that and make up your own mind about that. Let me know what you find out, kay? Thanks!
