Does anyone else get really sleepy from their XR?

i just upped my dosage from 20mg to 30, because the 20's stopped working. They made me sleepy when they did. The only time I didn't get sleepy was when I took 40mg XR (two 20's spaced out about 3 hours apart) for a day and I was great for the entire day, about 12 hours-really a full 12 hours. I'm thinking maybe I should take 2 20mg a day, because right now I have a wretched headache and the 20's never gave me any negative side effects.

lol I would SERIOUSLY think about lowering your dose. If you didnt start off on 5mg then your doctor isn't very good. You need to be patient and find your right dose, getting sleepy off adderall is a sign that you are taking too much. Its very easy to overdose on adderall, I know people that say 5mg doesnt work and 10mg is too much.

I agree with ADDam. I got too sleepy on adderall when the dose was too high. I lowered it and it became more effective.
