great resource!

welllll ...the state of my son's experience for 12 yrs in public schools not offering any iep assist in the classroom has been stalemated due to the insulation the school has to do whatever it wants ie; contradict itself, get caught lying, not following protocol, ie naked power abuse citing 'age' as the issue of why 'your son is not eligible' but we have the eligibility approval for an IEP through OHI so i discovered if you're eligible ( no refusal has been mailed ) and the high school your sweet inattentive is doing one last yr to get to diploma refuses to work the agenda of the child and the child's pdoc - you can sue and win if you can afford the outlay of cash OR you can file your own Federal suit and win if you've kept dispositions of all the people, dates, comments and emails - that all contradict each other - to prove one's case citing state statutes that also oppose the school's stance......

Once one gets an IEP or 504 you can apply for a McKay Scholarship which enables you to go to ANY school in the USA and be given the tools you are provided by law to assist you to level the playing field with regard to the ADD's undermining influences in the public education venue.

So if your child is finding hostile refusal to assist him in class forcing him to 'get a GED today!!' or 'go to vocational rehab' then you'll get the iep or nothing....and you or kid feels this is extortion - you're right. Take your iep or 504 and apply here;
