Darnit, it doesn't look as though Florida is on his schedule...although Atlanta, GA is close...(sigh)....Gosh, Anaheim, California....I was just 40 minutes from Anaheim when I was attending school in California....oh well....I would go see this guy in a heartbeat:) Hey all you in Massachusetts -- check out Boston October 21....:)

You should maybe contact your local CHADD chapter, they know more, Thanks for posting that living, but I recently got an email from a friend in the pasadena chapter that Aman has at least 2 more local appearances besides that anaheim one, so it's possible he will be making one in Florida too Joan.

My local CHADD chapter? Hmmm....good idea. Haven't been back here long enough to even consider the fact I may even have one:) I will find out....I mean Dr. Amen's HAS to be in Florida SOMETIME. I mean we're such a cool state:) (not literally of course)...thanks for your suggestion Force....:)

I don't know if CHADD would know about Dr Amen's appearances. It would be best to contact the Amen Clinic directly.

She couldn't give me a straight answer why not...She said they go where there are the best "markets for him"....hmmm....:( and where they think they will sell most of his publications....:( another hmmmmm.....so I told her to tell Dr. Amen to PLEASE try for Florida NEXT YEAR....She said okay...:)

By the way, Boston Mass. engagement is in Somerville, Mass.

As good as this man may be does this not sound a little on the commercial and corprate side

is he really concerned about ADDers or making a profit at there expence

this is just my thought on reading Joans post

I know very little of the man

so I proclaim that this may just be a negative " ADD emotion"

I am openly inviting any critisizum anyone may feel to give towards my thoughts

Garry: I think it may be a little bit of both. I think he is genuinely concerned about ADD'ers...or he wouldn't be studying their brains in such depth....!! AND at the same time, he's in business too....as any doctor is. He can only make so much money with speaking engagements (as there is only so many hours in a day and he can only speak so many places)....so he has to seek other sources of income though his book sales, etc. But yes, this does sound like a profit-making endeavor, no doubt....and on the commercial and corporate side....

And for some reason, he must think us Floridians won't buy his books:(

I can accept and agree with that reasoning and logic
