Beef Teriyaki

350-400g beef steak
1 tsp finely chopped ginger
cup teriyaki sauce
1 tbs dry sherry
2 tsp sugar
2 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp cornflour

Cut beef into thin strips. Mix all ingredients together (except cornflour) and marinate in the fridge.

Before cooking, take out 1 tbs marinate mixture, add one tbs water to this and then add the cornflour to make a smooth paste.

Cook on low heat. Add cornflour once cooked to thicken.

Serve with white rice and Chinese vegies.

Hey Tudorose: This sounds yummy. Thanks. I say that because I attended a vegetarian school for 18 months and so didn't see a piece of meat around unless I travelled for miles to see one...Sure I saw the white rice and Chinese veggies but the beef? NOT -- and your marinade sounds great....thanks...and welcome to Forums...:)
