The article points out that girls with autism were better able to read facial expressions than boys with autism.

Makes me wonder. I know I have some autistic-like traits, but I am able to read emotional cues very well from tone of voice, and at least passably by body language

my therapist tells me I have autistic traits as well... I've never been tested for it, but it makes me wonder how many other girls with autistic traits are overlooked... kinda like with ADHD

I've never been evaluated, but I did find it amusing that my evaluation from kindergarten referred to some unique interests I had, but that it was easy for me to talk about other things.
